MovableType hit hard by TB spammers

It appears that a vulnerability has been found in Movable Type allowing Trackback spammers free reign to sneak

    Well, nofollow attribute doesn’t solve the problem at all. If you are using Google Sitemaps then you could notice that links from answers.yahoo.com do count pretty well. However, yahoo is using nofollow attribute for every such link. In addition, links from wikipedia use nofollow attribute as well. Do they count in Google? I just checked my GSitemaps and found that they do!

    The only solution is to block all unwanted comments from your blogs or sites. I run a website devoted to aquarium fish with many fish and plants profiles. People are allowed to ask, answer, or just comment each page. But withou leaving URLs. If they send URL, their comments don’t pass the filter. Moreover, forums are limited at this feature as well. What is the result? No spam at all. About 1-2 spam messages come through the filter each month, but when I add new condition to my algorithms, they’re dead.
